Burliuk studied at the Academy of Kazan and Odessa and 1902-1905 in München and Paris. From 1911-1914 he worked in Moscow and as the 'Father of the Russian Futurisme' he discovered Maiakovskii as a poet. From 1909 futurist publications. In 1920-1922 Bruliuk travelled to Japan and pacific islands. In 1922 he settled in New York and was 1923-1940 editor of the journal The Voice of Russia . From 1937 to1966 together with his wife Marusia he published Color and Rhyme |
