По Тихому Океану

Across the Pacific Ocean

New York: Burliuk, 1927

283 x 208 mm. 24 pages.

Edition: unknown.

Both this book and Oshima are examples of Burliuk’s never ceasing self promotion. Written in Russian, he sent several copies to his friends in the USSR. These two copies he gave to Lilia and osip Brik. Especially interesting is the note concerning the number of works he had left behind in Russia: ‘NB. My paintings – 100 canvasses in storage at the Stroganov Art Institute and 125 big paintings, but not hung (!!), in the Art Museum in Ufa’.
