Kirill Zdanevich, elder brother of Iliazd followed courses in drawing and painting with N.V. Sklifosovski in Tbilisi before he went to the St. Petersburg Academy of Art. He he never graduated. Together with his brother he joined the Russian futurists. From 1917 to 1920 he lived in Tbilisi where he took part in the activities of the Georgian futurist and designed and worked on theatrical productions. In 1920 he left for Paris but returned in 1921 to Tbilisi where he continued working for the theatre. In 1949 he was arrested and sent to the Gulag in Vorkuta. In 1957 he was rehabilitated and returned to Tbilisi.
