Died Leningrad, 19 December 1962

Vereiskii studied 1896 and 1900 to 1904 under Schreider in Kharkov. In 1912 he graduated in law at the University in St. Petersburg. Between 1913 and 1916 he studied under Dobuzhinski, Kustodiev, Ostrumova-Lebedeva en Lanceray. He lived between 1905 and 1907 in Germany and Italy because of revolutionary activities. From 1918 to 1930 he was head of the graphic departement of Hermitageand taught at the Academy in Leningrad.
