Mitki is a group of artists in St. Petersburg, founded in 1985. The group was founded by Dmitrii Shagin, Olga and Aleksandr Florenskii, Vladimir Shinkarev and others. The art of the group deals with all forms of every-day culture. Their common attributes are the Russian blue and white striped seaman's T-shirt and a bottle of wodka. The Mitki publish their ideas in the MitkiLibris and the Krasnyi Matros (Red Sailor) series.
