After graduating in 1936 from the
Perm Art School, Korovin returned to Sverdlovsk (formerly Ekaterinburg)
and worked in book publishing houses, first in Sverdlovsk and after 1972
in Perm. He became known for his illustrations for Bazhov's Ural tales
The Malachite Jewelry Box in 1949 and its 1952 edition. |
