Konashevich studied 1908-1913 at the School Of Art in Moscow under Korovin, Maliutin, and Valentin Serov. Since 1916 he lived and worked in Petrograd/ Leningrad. Between 1919 and 1926 he was deputy head keeper of the Pavlovsk Castle Museum. In1923 he became head of the lithographic studio of the leningrad Vkhutemas/Vkhutein. He was an Honoured Artist of the RSFSR. He worked for various Leningrad publishing houses.
