Zakrzhevskaia studied 1920-1924 at the Nizhni-Novgorod Art school under A. Kuprin and 1925-1930 At the Moscow Vkhutein under L. Bruni and V. Favorskii. She illustrated and designed children's' books for the Detgiz publishers both in Moscow and Gorkii (Nizhni-Novgorod). She lived and worked in Gorkii (Nizhnyi Novgorod).
