Weber emigrated with his mother and brother in 1891 to the USA to join with his father. From 1898 to 1900 he studied at the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn and in 1900 and 1901 in Dow's studio. Between 1905 and 1909 he studdied at the Academie Julian in Paris and in 1907 at the Academie Henri Matisse.
