Died St. Petersburg, 14 April 1910

Vrubel studied 1864 and 1868-1869 at the Society for Promotion of the Arts in St. Petersburg. In 1874-1880 he studied law at the Peterburg University. In 1878-1879 he studied painting under Shistiakov and 1880-1884 at the Imperial Academy. 1884-1885 and 1887 he worked as a restorer and fresco painter. In 1889 he went to Moscow and worked in Abramtsevo
