Orest Vereiskii was the son of the artist Georgii Vereiskii. He took his first lessons with his father. 1936-1938 he studied at the Moscow High School of Art and Architecture under N. Tyrsa. After 1938 he designed and illustrated books for Detgiz and Sovetskii pisatel.
