Creativity is a name that was used by three magazines at different times. The first magazine "Tvorchestvo" was published in Moscow from 1918 to 1922. The second magazine of this name was published from January 1934 to June 1941 in 85 issues, 90 numbers. The second creativity was a monthly devoted to the theory and criticism of fine arts. The magazine was published by the Union of Soviet Artists and Svculptors. Printed on high quality materials the magazine included cover tip-ins as well as colour reproductions and inserts. The publication coincided with the onset of Socialist Realism as the official style of the Soviet Union.

The third magazine with this name was published from 1957 (the year the Union of Artists of the USSR was created) till the end of the Soviet Union (December 26th 1990).
