Temin (Tiomin) started working as a correspondent for the newspaper Izvestiia in 1922. In the 1930s Temin reported and photgraphed a numer of signifivant events, such as the first expidition to the North Pole, The epic of saving the Cheliuskintsy, the first flight of the female pilots of the plane Rodina. During the War he served as a front-line correspondent on different fronts. He is the maker of the photograph: 'Victory Banner over the Reichstag'. He is considered one of the most operative and proffesional photoreporters of the USSR. |
