The French writer and poet Michel Butor (born 1926) got the idea for this poem from Anna Staritsky, who wanted them to make a book together. For their combined project Butor choose the subject of a Don Juan and wrote 40 stances that Staritsky put on pages that had holes in it, that were twice or three times folded and that had various colours. A complex, almost architectural book that also was published as a poster (№ 10612). This copy has a handwritten poem by Butor and an original gouache by Staritsky
