Thomas Owen was born 1910 as Gérald Bertot and is one of the central figures of Belgian surrealist fiction. He died 2002. He befriended the authors Franz Hellens en Jean Ray and had connections with the group of Belgian poets for whom Staritsky would design some poetry images. This book is illustrated with 5 full page etchings by Staritsky.
