Died Paris, 9 August 1943

Soutine studied at the Vilnius Art Academy for three years, befor emigrating in 1913 to Paris. He studied for some times art the Academie Cormon. Soutine was inspired by the works of Rembrandt. He died in 1943 of multiple stomach ulcers.
