Soungouroff moved in 1930 with his parents to France, served in French Army, was POW, painted the prisoners' life. After the war he lived in Paris and Cannes, was friends with Jean Cocteau, painted the walls of Le Zanzibar - the oldest French gay bar; and painted all these young sailors, and musicians etc. He illustrated a porn book, which was forbidden by government.

1957
