Born Mikhalevo (Tver), 11 October 1941

Sokov studied 1956-1961 at yhe Moscow secondary Art School  under A. Kosolapov and V. Komar. In 1969 he graduated from the Moscow Stroganov Institute. In 1980 he emigrated to the USA and settled in new York where he now lives and works.
