Leonid (Veniamin) Soifertis studied 1928-1930 at the Karkov Art Institute and 1935-1938 at the Moscow Art Institute under P. Lvov, M. Rodionov and A. Goncharov. In 1945 he started working as an illustrator for magazines such as Ogonek, Krokodil, Smena and others. He lived and worked in Moscow.
