Died Leningrad, 10 June 1980

Shuriga graduated 1919 from Kharkov Art School. In 1921 and 1922 she studied at the Moscow Vkhutemas under A. Lavinskii. In 1923 she moved to Petrograd were she studied at A. Matveev's studio. In 1929 she started working at the Leningrad State Porcelain Factory. During the war she was evacuated to Irbit in the Ural Mountains.After she retook her job at the porcelain factory, but started her own studio as  a sculptor and grapic artist.
