Leon Schultz (Lev Shults) graduated 1915 from the Tsarskoe Selo Gymnasium and started studying at the architectural department of the St. Petersburg Academy of Art. In 1918 he began to study art at the Petrograd academy. In 1920 he moved to the Crimea and starte working as a cartographer at general Vrangler's headquarters. On November 26, 1920 he left Russia and arrived in Yugoslavia (Dubrobnik). Over Vienna he moved to Paris where he settled in 1923 and started studying at the Grande Chaumiere and the Academie Julian. From 1938 til 1952 he lived in Morocco. |
