Шор Сарра Марковна

Born Dubno (Ukraine), 30 March 1897

Died Moscow, 10 October 1981

Shor studied 1911-1915 at  the Kiev Art School under G. Diadchenko and F. Krichevskii and 1915- 1916 at the St. Petersburg Art Academy under V. Makovskii.  In 1919 she started working as a scenographer at the Kiev Solovtsov Theatre. In 1923 she moved to Moscow and studied at the studio of A. Kravchenko. During the 1920s and 1930s she mainly worked as an illustrator.
