Шифрин, Ниссон Абрамович

Theatre designer, graphic artist.

Born Kiev, 28 June 1892

Died Moscow, 3 April 1961

Shifrin studied 1912-1914 in the art studio of A. Murashko and in 1918 in studio of A. Exter. In the mid 30s he was chief scenographer of the central soviet army theatre in Moscow. He was married to the artist M.Genke.
