Shevchenko studie from 1898 to 1907 at the Moscow Stroganov Art School, making a tour trhough Europe and North Africa in 1905 and 1906, during which periode he studied in Paris at the Academie Julien. In the 1910s Shevchenko became part of the avant-garde mouvements in Russian and wrote about art theory. He was a member of Makovets and taught from 1918 to 1928 at the Moscow Vkhutemas. |
