Born Vitebsk, 5 February 1923

After having fought and being wounded in the Second World War, he graduated 1952 from the Minsk Art College where he had studied under Vitalii Tsvirko. He taught at the Minsk Art Collega and worked as Chairman of the Board of the Belarusian Union of Artists (2002-2005).
