Working as an assitant to a photographer in the 1920s, Danko decided she could become also a photographer. in the 1930s she particpated as a photographer in expeditions to the North Pole. During the Great Patriotic war sheworked for the Jounal 'Front Illustration' around Moscow and Stalingrad. At the end of the war she was aphotojournalist at the far east front where she got twice wounded. After the war she worked as a photographer for the magazine Ogenek.
