A legend of the Crimean tartars. All pochoirs of this - not numbered copy - are signed by the artist. A flyer announcing the book and a letter explicating the text were added. The Parisian publisher of luxurious editions, Champion, had the firm Jacomet make the facsimile copies of the album in a slightly smaller format. Unlike the album, the facsimile was printed on separate sheets loose in a cover. A page with the colophon was added. According to the publisher’s announcement 100 copies were printed, all signed by the princess. The first copy was presented to the Queen of Italy. Marina Romanoff’s son, Bastide Galytzine, later erroneously wrote that only 26 copies had been printed on special paper and bound in leather.
