Poret studied 1921-1925 at the Petrograd/Leningrad  vkhutemas under Petrov-Vodkin and Savinov. In 1926 she joined Filonov and his school of Analytical Art. Later, she worked under V.V. Lebedev in the children's book department of the State Publishing House.
