Born Shimoaikha (Altai), 1952

Popov studied 1974-1979 at the Institute of Applied Arts in Lvov (Ukraine.) and 1980-84 in Novisibirsk. From 1985 til 1991 he lived as a free lance artist in St. Petersburg. In 1991 he emigrated to Germany, where he works and lives in Düsseldorf.
