Polishchuk studied at the Odessa Art School under G. Dvornikov. In 1920 she worked and lived in Kharkov as a teacher. In 1923 she moved to Moscow where she worked at the State Publishing House for the Young gvardian publishers and for the magazines Krasnaya Niva, Zateinik and Murzilka
