Pavel Pepperstein is the son of the painter Viktor Pivovarov and the poet Irina Pivovarova. He studied 1985-1987at the Prague Academy of Art and founded in Moscow the 'Medical Hermenteutics' a group of conceptualist artist that combine visual and textual arts.
