Around 1890 Pavil arrived in France and settled in Montmartre, Paris. He had his first exhibition in 1904 where his lanscaps and city-views of Montmartre were on show. In 1911 he was naturalized French. In 1935 he went to live with his daughter in Marocc where he died (sometimes as 1948).
