Pankin studied from 1957 to 1963 at the Moscow Architectural Institute. He worked as an architect in Egorevsk. In 1971 he joined the group of unoffical artists around Elia Beliutin and started working as a painter. In his works, Pankin turned to the geometrical suprematist compositions of Malevich as a source of inspiration. He lives and works in Moscow |
