Padalitsyn studied from 1910 to
1917 Mathematics at the Moscow University. He returned to Smolenks where
he studied at the Proletkult Art Studio and continued 1922 his artistic
education at the Moscow VKhUTEMAS under Vladimir Favorskii. For his
graduation he illustrated John Reed's 'Ten Days that Shook the World'.
In 1929 he married the daughter of a former major general, a nobleman.
On June 26, 1930 he was arrested under suspicion of 'anti-soviet
activities' and on September 20 he was shot.
