The artistic union "Society of Russian Sculptors" (O.R.S. - Obschestvo Russkikh Skulptorov) was created at 1925 on a wave of revolutionary events and construction of new culture in Russia. The main objective of this society was to unite all Russian sculptural forces and to find new plastic expression and preserve the accumulated sculptural traditions of Russian and Europe culture in art.The group, as well as all other creative associations, ended in 1932, when, by decree of the Central Committee of the CPSU, all art groups were eliminated.
