Nosov, brother of the famous writer Nikolai Nosov (1908-1976) studied at the Kiev art Institute at the department of cinematography. In the 1930s he also worked as a cartoonist for the journal Crocodile. In 1955 he became head and director of the Moscow Soiuzmultfilm.
