Nasibulin graduated from the Repin Institute in St. Petersburg. He illustrated more than 600 books, mainly classics of Russian literature. Especially Pushkin and the heroes of his works has become a main theme in his works. In 1998/99 Nasibulin took part in creating a Puskin-museum in New York and was one of the organizers of the Pushkin poetry festival in Pushkinogore, the Pushkin estate in the neighbourhood of Pskov, where Nasibulin most of the year lives and works.
