'Our Heritage' publishes materials on the history of Russian culture: articles about artists, musicians, writers, philosophers, theatre workers, patrons and collectors; also memoirs , correspondence, archival materials about figures of national culture (a significant part of publications is devoted to forgotten names); articles about museums, private collections and exhibitions in Russia and abroad, about architectural monuments, the culture of the Russian province. The magazine was published since 1988 in Moscow. the initiator and spiritual father was D.S.Likhachev, founder of the Soviet Culture Foundation. The chief editor is V.P. Enisherlov. In 1988-1991, 6 issues per year were published, then the frequency of the magazine changed (2-4 issues per year including double issues). From 1988 to 2019 the magazine was printed in 118 + 2 English issues (130 +2 numbers). In 2019, after issue 129/130 the magazine has been published as an on-line periodical. Each issue measured 280 x 215 mm. had between 100 and 200 pages and was printed in an edition of 5,000 copies. The LS Collection holds the complete set of no. 1-107, in 99 issues and the two issues in English (1993)
