Nakhova is a representative of the
Moscow Conceptualism. When she was 14 years old, her mother took her to
the studio of Viktor Pivovarov who became the tutor of the young Nakhova.
From 1972 to 1978 she studied at the Moscow Polygraphic Institute. She
took part in many collective actions of the Moscow conceptualists. After
1983 she developed her environmental art and worked as a book
illustrator. In 2015 she represented Russia at the Venice Biennale of
contemporary art. |
