Nagorskaiastudied from 1913 to 1917 at the Kiev Art School and at the sudio of A. Ekster. From 1922 to 1924 she studied at the Moscow Vkhutemas. In October 1924 she started working at the Novosibirsk Regional Museum. From 1944 to 1961 she worked as head of the art department of the Novosibirsk Regional House of Folk Art.
