Miller studied 1915 at the Odessa Art School and 1916 at the Kharkov Art School. After the revolution he studied 1920-1924 at the Moscow Vkhutemas and at the studio Rodchenko. he designed the exhibitions of the Pressa in Colohgne in 1928 and the exhibition rooms of the Maiakovskii Museum in Moscow. He illustrated books for several publishing houses.
