Milioti studied from 1894 to 1900 at the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture under L. Pasternak, A, Arkhipov and V. Serov. He studied history in St. Petersburg and finished his studies at the Paris Sorbonne University. In 1920 he emigrated via the Crimea and Constantinople over Berlin to Paris.
