Meller (Möller) graduated 1908 from the faculty of Law of the Kiev University. From 1903 to 1905 he studied at the Kiev Art School and from 1912 to 1914 at the Munich Art Academy. From 1922 to 1946 he was the main artist for the Shevchenko Drama Theatre in Kharkov and from 1948 to 1959 at the Franko Theatre in Kiev.
