Масютин, Василий Николаевич

Graphic artist, sculptor, writer.

Born Riga, 10 February 1884.

Died Berlin-Wilmersdorf, 25 November 1955.

Masjutin studied from 1894 to1908 at the Naval School in St. Petersburg . From 1908 to 1914 he went to the school of Art and Architecture in Moscow. In 1908 he married Valentina Jastsebtsov. In 1914-1917 he served as an officer in the army and after the revolution he taught 1918-1919 at the Vchutemas. In 1920 he emigrated over Riga to Berlin.
