Mane-Katz studied from 1911 to 1913 at the Kiev Art School. In 1913 he went to Paris and studied in Cormon's studio. In 1917 he was appointed professor in Kharkov. In 1921 he emigrated to France where he in 1927 obtained the French nationality. He made extensive travels throughout Europe and the Near East. In 1940 he embarked in Marseille for New York and returned to Paris in 1945. In 1948 he settled in Israel. |
