Bronislav Malakhovskii graduated 1926 from the Leningrad VkHUTEMAS and started working as an illustrator to the children's journal Chizh and Ezh. In July 1937 he was arrested and sentenced to to death as a Polish spy. He was shot and buried in the village Levashovo near Leningrad.
