A Hebrew teaching book for Yiddish speaking children in the Diaspora. For this book the illustrations that Lissitzky made for the 1919 published story Shabes in vald (Sabbath in the forest) were used. The illustrations for the storie Arava were made by a group of 4 Russian artists from Odessa who called themselves Chavurat Tzayarim (The group of painters-illustrators) wich include Efim Khiger, Jakob Apter, Aron Kravtsov, and Moshe Moltzmacher.
