Moisei Levin graduated 1915 from the Vilnius Art School. He went to St. Petersburg where he studied at the Vkhutemas under N. Altman. In 1920, he started working as a scenographer for the Leningrad theatres. End of the 1930s he moved to Kazakhstan but returned 1944 to Leningrad.
