Kurdov Studied at the Perm Free Art Studios 1918-19 and in Ekaterinburg 1921. In 1922 he studied in Petrograd/Leningrad at the Vkhutein 1922-26 under Matiushin, Karev and Savinov. He also studied in 1926 under K. Malevich at the Institute of Artistic Culture. He actively participated in the Leningrad School of children's books. He was a People's Artist of the RSFSR and recieved the Ilia Repin award for his illustrations for Rudyard Kipling's books. |
