Died Moscow, 17 May 1968

Kruchenykh studdied until 1906 at the Odessa Art School. In 1907 he moved to Moscow and started publishing caricatures. He gave up painting in 1912 and became a leading poet of the futurist movement. He was married to Olga Rozanova.
